1‐year term; renewable at Annual Convention.

Committee Makeup
The Political Issues Liaison shall be a Contributing Member.

Mission Statement
The Political Issues Liaison is in charge of educating the members of the LPEPC about what is happening in their community.
The Political Issues Liaison shall be familiar with the activities of the Party and Platform.

Reporting
The Political Issues Liaison makes reports monthly at the Board of Directors meeting.
The Political Issues Liaison makes a yearly report at the Annual Convention.

Committee Meetings
LPEPC: One in‐person meeting per year at Annual Meeting; any Special Convention; all Board Meetings; all Monthly Member meetings.
LPCO: Convention, Board meetings as needed, Strategy Sessions as needed.

Estimated Time Commitment
Political Issues Liaison: 12+ hours per year

Qualifications/ Responsibilities
Political Issues Liaison:

  • The Political Issues Liaison should have understanding of the Libertarian Party Platform and have an excellent familiarity with the structure of LPEPC.
  • The Political Issues Liaison will report election results for their region.
    • Vice Chair. Copy to Outreach Director and Secretary for distribution.
  • The Political Issues Liaison will be informed on current events.
  • The Political Issues Liaison will coordinate with the Outreach Director and Secretary for announcement of government meetings for their region.
  • The Political Issues Liaison will coordinate with the Education Director to schedule speakers for topic nights that relate to their region at monthly meetings.
  • The Political Issues Liaison will keep a Continuity Binder.
