Terms of Office
1‐year term; renewable at Annual Convention.

Committee Makeup
The Vice Chair shall be a Contributing Member.

Mission Statement
The Vice Chair is in charge of chairing meetings when the Chair is unavailable.
The Vice Chair shall be familiar with the activities of the Party; coordinate with the Chair and Regional Political Issues Liaisons.

Reporting
The Vice Chair makes reports monthly at the Board of Directors meeting.
The Vice Chair makes a yearly report at the Annual Convention.

Committee Meetings
One in‐person meeting per year at Annual Meeting; any Special Convention; all Board Meetings; all Monthly Member meetings.

Estimated Time Commitment
Vice Chair: 24+ hours per year

Qualifications/ Responsibilities
Vice Chair:

  • The Vice Chair should have an understanding of the Libertarian Party Platform and have an excellent familiarity with the structure of LPEPC.
  • The Vice Chair will direct Board meetings, Annual Conventions, and Special Conventions if the Chair is unavailable.
  • The Vice Chair will coordinate with Secretary to create Agenda for meetings.
  • The Vice Chair will coordinate with Political Issues Liaisons.
    • Collect reports on regional elections.
      • Forward to Newsletter Editor & Outreach Director for distribution.
    • Collect information about regional political meetings.
      • Forward to Newsletter Editor & Outreach Director for distribution.
  • The Vice Chair will communicate with media as necessary when Chair is unavailable.
  • The Vice Chair will keep a Continuity Binder.
