The Board approved our entry into the parade!
The theme of the parade this year is 100 Years of Women’s votes.
We are looking for people to march in the parade. As of 03/07/2020 we have 19 people coming. Please RSVP as soon as you can. We also have the event posted to facebook and Meetup for your convenience, since there will be times in the next couple weeks when our website will be undergoing maintenance.
We need volunteers to participate with us.
There is limited space available on the float so please RSVP ASAP.
We have a small trailer decorated as our float this year! It will seat 12 people. We’ve got a 4Runner as a tow vehicle, but if you have a pick up truck that will fit some riders in the back we’d love to have you.
10 people will be allowed to walk the parade route & hand out invitations.
We need creative people to help finish the decorations on the float Saturday Morning. Some things are delicate & we didn’t think they’d transport well, so we’ll get that done at Apex Sports at their unpaved lot across the street from their showroom.
T-Shirts have been ordered. Randy is printing them. Irish Porcupine on the front. You may request a custom saying on the back. (This is a family event, please keep it PG). Suggestions: Taxation is Theft. Liberty is for everyone. End the Drug War. End The Fed. Stop taxing me I’m Irish.
Suffragette sashes have been ordered. We are trying to figure out how to write on the satin. The LPEPC Chairman is Lexi Marie, our LPCO Chairman is Victoria Reynolds, we’ve got 3 ladies serving on our County Board & many more serving throughout the state, since the theme is “100 years of Women’s Votes” we’d like to see our women out in force showing off their leadership.
The sashes & T-Shirts are being used as a fundraiser. Suggested contribution per T-Shirt is $15 and per sash is $5.
